![]() ![]() This really sucks and someone should get punched in the face! I lost a lot of time trying to solve this and my time isn't free. So basically now I'm stucked with this GPU and more I read about this topic there isn't a solution or am I missing something?Īlso, is it LEGIT to sell hardware if you cant provide stable drivers for it? Played a little bit with Wattman settings but every time game crashes drivers go back to default settings. I did try installing old drivers with the same results. Try to get into Wattman to see what is going on but the driver isn't responding for 10min or so. Games crashing after 5-30mins, black screen, puts me back to the desktop, sounds still working so I need to kill it in Tasks. I removed old drivers with DDU in safe mode, put new GPU in case, installed the latest drivers (19.9.2.) and the nightmare begins. With no problems and crashing, I played Witcher III and a few other games and then I got Sapphire Nitro+ RX590 8GB. ![]() I used my old graphic card XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB for a month with some old drivers that actually support that card. I use my computer for both work and play, and do not need the system randomly shutting down if the issue worsens. This normally wouldn't be an issue, but it would be nice to still control settings of the card within the AMD app and I am not sure what other issues may be caused from the app continuously crashing without warning or notice of any kind. I believe I was on the 18.9.3 version as I updated not too long ago. Using DDU to clean the system and then tried the Auto-Detect Installer again to be more specific, when trying to install Adrenaline, to install the drivers for the 5700xt, the PC crashes (blue screen), and initiates a reboot loop, continually crashing until either. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling direct download of the Auto-Detect Installer (Which installed the 19.1.1 Optional drivers) I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling direct download of the 18.12.2 drivers 1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and R at the same time, then type devmgmt.msc into the box and press Enter. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling direct download of the 19.1.1 Optional drivers There are no warnings or notifications on the crash, but when I right click the desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings, it will show in the system tray and then disappear when I move the mouse over it. The issue I am having is that after updating the Radeon Software to the newest versions, the settings continues to crash. Motherboard - MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X BIOS: 2.50Įverything seems to run fine. GFX Driver - Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.1.1ĭisplay - Samsung U28E590 3840x2160 Active DP Cable The Red Devils should be quieter for sure, given the better cooler and fans.OS - Windows 10 Home 64bit Version 10.0 Build 17134 Service Pack 0.0 It sounds like a jet engine if I run it with max fan speed. However, after a couple of weeks of investigation, AMD finally found a solution for Radeon graphics card owners who faced an Adrenalin WHQL driver bug that corrupted their systems. ![]() ![]() but I do not overclock it as it is already on the edge of stability out of the box last time I tried adjusting the GPU clock frequency in Adrenalin 2020 earlier versions. My PowerColor Red Dragon runs Watch Dog Legions at 1080p Very High Settings at stable 2020 MHz Game Clock so maybe PowerColor just use marketing BS to get people to pay extra to buy their big expensive Red Devil GPUs versus their cheaper Red Dragon versions. Today I fresh installed the AMD Adrenalin 2020 20.2.2 again and the problems described above started to occur again. So I fresh installed the OS and the PC used the Windows preinstalled Display Driver for about a week and it worked just fine. You have probably looked into that, but just saying. PC started to randomly crash after booting up without being in any game or so. One thinmk I noted in some driver releases was that the AMD GPU driver was setting very clock speed in the driver versus what the Manufacturer Specifctions stated were the Base and Boost GPU frequencies. There was a very long thread about RX5700XT GPUs blackscreening and crashing on the old version of the AMD Community. It could also be that AMD have screwed up in setting the GPU Clocks on your card with later drivers. Actual individual game clock results may vary 1795MHz(Game) /up to 1650MHz (Base) / up to 1905MHz(Boost) *Note:Game Clock is the expected GPU clock when running typical gaming applications, set to typical TGP (Total Graphics Power). Maybe PowerColor are far too optimistic about the overclock they force on those Red Devil GPUs because of the coolers they fit on them.ġ905MHz (Game) /up to 1770MHz (Base) / up to 2010MHz (Boost) *Note:Game Clock is the expected GPU clock when running typical gaming applications, set to typical TGP (Total Graphics Power). Maybe your GPU is faulty or just a "lower quality" GPU die. ![]()
